Tumblr.

Heyy.

Okay, I don't know if this would be considered treason, but I joined Tumblr the other day, & i've got to say it's quite amazing!
Really, the graphics are great, there is a wide range of things you are allowed to post (videos, photos, links, etc) & it is one of the most user-friendly websites (especially for beginners, like myself) that i've ever come across. :)

So here's my tumblr address, just don't expect it to be a replica of this blog. They are different.

This is the shortest blog I have ever posted (on this site) but I don't know what else to say, Blogger is great, Tumblr is cool!

Gossip Girl.

Hi.

This post is ALLL about Gossip Girl & is basically a 'Gossip Girl 101 for Dummies' crash course. I think it would be considered wise for you to read this before watching Gossip Girl. I'll try not to include spoilers, just basic character outlines & any other need-to-knows. :)

The Upper-East Side.
I like to think of her as a character, & I believe the city really is important to the story. The city & what part of the city you live in pretty much seal your fate. The Upper-East Side is for the rich & famous & not for the feint-hearted. She changes people.

Serena van der Woodsen.
Protagonist. A true Blond Bombshell & a bit of a train wreck. Scandal follows her wherever she goes. But what's not to love!

Blair Waldorf.
The best friend. But she's much more than just that. Blair's the Queen B, at school, at home, at college. Everywhere. She's Blair Waldorf & everyone knows it. She's preppy & has a fetish for headbands.

Nathaniel 'Nate' Archibald.
Good looking, rich boy with family issues. He's hot but also probably the only 'typical/average' guy in this story. He's real, like-able & he loves sports, video games & giving relationship advice to his mates. ;)

Charles 'Chuck' Bass.
The gazillionare. The bad-boy. The flirt. He like his hundred dollar bills, cold & with side-serving of hookers. Just like his martinis. Chuck has many nicknames: Bass-hole, Mother-Chucker, Bass-tard, just to name a few.

Daniel 'Dan' Humphrey.
The 'Lonely Boy' from Brooklyn. He's a writer. Kind of a nerd. But a cute nerd, who unfortunately like everyone else gets chewed up & spat out by the Upper-East Side. But none the less he's still the good boy & the teacher's pet.

Jennifer 'Jenny' / 'Little J' Humphrey.
The little sister of Dan. Wannabe Fashionista. Loves designing & getting with alllll the wrong people. Little J goes from cute sister to Gothic Barbie in 0.3 seconds. Some people blame her connections or her rebellions but everyone really knows that it was the Upper-East Side that got to her.

Vanessa Abrams.
Another Brooklynite. Old friend of Dan's. Comes back into Dan's life & instead of falling back into his arms as she may have wished, the Upper-East Side claims another victim.

Eric van der Woodsen.
Is the absolutely adorable little brother of Serena. He tried to commit suicide when he was 13 & has had a bit of hard time. He has Daddy issues & you find out early on in the series that he's actually gay. He's one of my favourite characters & also not so tainted by the Upper-East Side. He reminds me of a cute puppy; loyal, friendly & down-to-earth.

And last but not least...

Gossip Girl, herself.
The blogger, the stalker, the only one you've got to worry about. Make your life a living hell? Yep, she can do that. No-one knows who she really is, but she sure has her finger on the ball. I don't think we'll ever know, it just adds to intrigue!

Well, what are you waiting for? Fashion, High-School & lifestyle on the Upper-East Side awaits.
Get watching bloggers.

15 Happy Things!

Gooood Evening :)

I'm in a particularly good mood at the moment so I thought I might post about everything that makes me happy! I have tried to avoid being overly vague & annoying to give you the exact fifteen definitions of happiness (according to Carman as of the beginning of 2011!) so you can look it up in the future. Here we go.

1. Muffins. The word might not sound as cute as 'cupcakes' but muffins are bigger, i.e. The bigger the muffin, the more chocolate-y goodness it can contain.

2. SPN. Otherwise known as Supernatural for all of you not-so-die-hard-fans out there.

3. Stay the Night, by James Blunt. I'm not a huuuuuge Blunt fan but this song reminds me of summer & ice-cream & light-hearted fun.

4. Buying cool stuff over the net. 'Cause the Internet has waaay better stock than your local mall.

5. Gossip Girl. Yes, I used to hate it, but that was before I really watched it at all. I am now officially guilty of judging a book (in this case a few DVDs) by it's cover. It wont happen again, GG is amazing. Which bring m to my next point...

6. Chace Crawford. Yeah. I can't even. *Drooling over keyboard*

7. Blogging. Really! This makes me happy, whether it's just because I like writing or because I have a sad life & I spend way to much time on my computer, who knows? :)

8. Tumblr. I've recently discovered some awesome Tumblr blogs, that are well, AWESOME! Here's one, for example, that is better than perfect if your a teenage girl obsessed with SPN, like me. http://lovemesomepadackles.tumblr.com/

9. Rainbows. I had to! They really are pretty!!!

10. Tomorrow When the War Began. Now out on DVD :) Absolutely great movie!

11. Making a wish list. You can dream all you want... & I do, but putting ideas down on paper makes everything seem so much more real. :)

12. Motivational (or De-motivational) Pictures. Whoever created these, was a legend.

13. Air Conditioner. It is pure happiness. Although it's probably costing all of Australia double what it would to support a small 3rd World country, in Summer, it's a necessity!

14. Sunnies & Hats. As well as protecting you from all the baddy UV rays out there, sunnies & hats are adorable & I believe you can never have enough. I currently have 7 pairs of awesome sunglasses that I rotate & colour-coordinate with my outfits. Lame, but cute.

15. Betty Crocker Icing Tubs. WHAMO! Betty Crocker is my hero. Best icing ever!!! & Also very necessary if you're going to make those muffins I talked of earlier. :)

Enjoy Life.
& Have Fun.

Kick-Ass! (& Other Superheroes)

"Like most people my age, I just existed." ~Kick-Ass

Hey.
First of all... Happy New Year :)
2011. The beginning of a decade.
& Which holds the potential to be the beginning of everything & anything you've ever dreamed of. :)
Good luck.

sxsw-panel-announcement/)
Okay, So for Christmas I received a DVD called Kick-Ass, from Santa. This was one of those movies that I had been intending to see at the cinema when it originally came out... but never got around to it. Apart from fully living up to it's title, I found it to be a 'typical-teenager' movie, but better. It is without a doubt hilarious, random & just really, really cool! It made me both laugh... & almost cry. Kick-Ass is quite light-hearted but I reckon it also has a pretty awesome message (deep beneath the swearing, sexual innuendos & high-school jokes), of helping people. :)

In the beginning of the movie, the protagonist, Dave, sat down at a local comic shop with his two, 'cute-but-dorky' best friends & pondered why no-one had ever tried to be a superhero. Why hadn't anyone, out of all of the psychos, weirdos, superhero worshippers & mentally unstable people out there, thrown on a ridiculous costume & went out with the sole mission of fighting crime & helping those in need.

This is cool, but sadly true.

Another, not so 'let's-save-the-world' topic this movie got me thinking about was: If I was a superhero (a real comic book one) what superpower would I want to have, & why? This reallllllly got me thinking. At first I thought:

Flying. Definitely.
But then as I sifted through tonnes of different possibilities I found it hard to settle on one.

Invisibility, sure.
Telekinesis, awesome.
Accelerated healing, could come in handy.
X-Ray vision...

The list goes on. I'm still not 100% sure what I would choose... maybe Invisibility, or being able to climb up walls (Spiderman has been [& always will be] my favourite hero).
Well, I hope I got you thinking & wanting to watch, or re-watch, Kick-Ass. :)
